Quarry Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead our team at Tarmac Stowfield Quarry and Asphalt Plant.
As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for managing all quarrying and asphalt plant operations, ensuring safety and operational standards are met, and driving continuous improvement in cost control, people management, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a highly skilled team using KPIs to ensure business continuity and reduce risk.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, risk assessments, and training for staff.
- Oversee the safe operation of the Quarry and Asphalt Plant and planned preventative maintenance of all site equipment.
- Ensure the plant meets operational and production requirements.
- Collate and report on monthly performance KPIs for the Area Operations.
- Promote a one-team approach, securing buy-in from all staff members to maximize outputs and achieve clear working goals.
Requirements
You will have experience in Quarrying operations or a similar environment, with a good understanding of Quarry Regulations and relevant qualifications, such as Diploma in Quarry Technology or SHE NVQ Level 4.
Additionally, you will possess strong IT skills, including SAP (preferred) and Microsoft Office, with the ability to multitask and manage change effectively.
