About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to plumbing and heating systems.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the prison's facilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
    • Requirements
      • Experience working in a similar role as a plumber or equivalent.
      • Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
      • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
      • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
      • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
