About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Science to lead and manage our Science department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement in Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Science department and develop a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Monitor student progress and use data to drive improvements in Science education.
  • Lead staff training and professional development initiatives within Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting, ideally within a Science department.
  • Strong understanding of the Science curriculum and how to effectively drive improvements in teaching and learning.
  • A passion for Science and a commitment to improving educational outcomes for all students.
