As a Graduate Optical Engineer, you will undergo a focused Learning & Development programme, equipping you with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to research, design, development, and manufacturing phases within the field of Electro-Optic (EO) Sensors.
You will be involved in the development and delivery of complex EO products used by Defence and Commercial Industries, including Missile Seekers, Thermal Imaging Cameras, C-UAS, and Laser-based systems.
This role offers opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of industry-leading EO Systems talent, travel for Project activities, Customer/Sub-contractor engagement, and self-development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work package management, focusing on Quality, Schedule, and Cost.
- Engineering function continuous improvement.
- System architecture definition, specifying and developing lens designs, conducting analyses and performance simulations, supporting system integration and test, and working closely with manufacturing colleagues and suppliers.
To excel in this role, you should demonstrate enthusiasm for developing new skills and a willingness to grasp opportunities.
Please note that eligibility for UK Security Clearance is required for this position.
