We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our team at Hydrock, now Stantec. As a Geotechnical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in advising on scoping of site investigations, interpreting field data, and producing geotechnical design reports.

Our geotechnical design team works on complex projects such as data centres, ports & harbours, strategic land, logistics and distribution sites. We are looking for talented engineers and designers who will be stimulated by working on these projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Geotechnical design experience, including writing GDR and EWS (to CD622 and EC7).
  • Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques and experience in specifying geotechnical testing.
  • Experience in the specification and design of geotechnical structures, including foundations, earthworks, ground improvement, slopes, embankments, gravity structures, nails, anchors, embedded walls, etc.
  • Experience in the design, supervision, and verification of earthworks projects.
  • Working knowledge of software tools such as Oasys Pile, Alp, PDisp, Adsec, ADC, Rocscience Slide, WALLAP, AutoCAD, and Excel.
