About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Control Inspector to join our team at Adur District and Worthing Borough Councils. As a key member of our partnership, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with building regulations and contributing to the growth and development of our area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead an area team of surveyors and assist/deputise for the Building Control Manager
  • Process applications, issue decisions, and conduct site inspections
  • Maintain the council's quality management system and deal with dangerous structures and demolitions

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Building Safety Regulator as level 2 a-f
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
