We are seeking a skilled Forklift Maintenance Technician to join our team at Contract Personnel Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Services, maintains, and overhauls a variety of material handling products.
  2. Servicing includes gas, diesel, and electric powered forklift trucks.
  3. Uses check sheets to ensure brakes, lifting assembly, and steering are in working order.
  4. Changes oil and filters as necessary.
  5. Performs thorough examinations pending qualifications.
  6. Carries out preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubricating steering and lifting equipment.

Additionally, you will be responsible for battery maintenance, including checking voltages and fluid levels of forklift trucks using meters and hydrometers.

Requirements:
  1. City and Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related field.
  2. Diagnostics computer skills.
  3. Qualified in related field or similar years' experience.
  4. Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in heavy goods/plant machinery/automotive.
  5. Full UK driving license.
