About the Role

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the secure operation of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect our network from emerging threats
  • Lead cybersecurity projects to improve our network security posture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security regulations
  • Provide technical guidance to IT staff on security best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats to inform security strategies

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Professional certifications in IT security (e.g. CISSP, CISM)
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity leadership roles
  • Strong technical skills in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
