Configuration Specialist

Morson Talent is working with a key player in the UK Energy sector to recruit a skilled Configuration Engineer to support their Plant Integration Team on a contract basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work on a major infrastructure project in the Southwest, contributing to the timely and effective delivery of the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the Technical Integration Branch in coordinating project activities within Configuration Management processes.
2. Provide technical assistance and manage activities to ensure Configuration Management processes are properly implemented across the project.
3. Work closely with the Configuration Management Team to be the preferred point of contact for configuration management processes.
4. Coordinate contributions from project stakeholders to the progression of configuration management processes.
5. Control, support, and monitor end-to-end configuration activities.
6. Ensure configuration control is maintained during Design Handovers to the Client.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

1. Degree in a relevant science or engineering subject or strong technical background preferred.
2. Chartered Engineer status preferred.
3. Experience within the Nuclear Industry is advantageous.
4. Experience of process development and application within engineering projects is required.
5. Understanding of quality arrangements required for nuclear plant construction is preferred.
6. Proficient project management, organisational, and coordination skills.
7. Great communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
