MHR is seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Manager to lead our innovative Tech Engineering Hub in Newcastle. As a key member of our global software teams, you will shape the future of tech and drive innovation in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Foster a high-performance team culture, guiding engineers through cutting-edge projects and cultivating a collaborative environment.
  • Project Management: Spearhead project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timely completion, scope adherence, and exceptional quality standards.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop and drive the technical vision and strategy for our engineering team, shaping the future of our software solutions.
  • Resource Management: Strategically allocate resources to meet diverse project needs, identifying skill gaps and partnering with Talent Acquisition to recruit and retain top-tier engineering talent.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively evaluate and enhance engineering processes to boost efficiency and productivity, implementing best practices and innovative methodologies.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and identify potential risks, implementing proactive solutions to mitigate them and ensuring project success.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators to measure engineering project effectiveness and efficiency, informing data-driven decisions and fostering continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role within a software engineering environment.
  • Deep understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient with agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering team collaboration and driving high-performance culture.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Keen problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and mitigate risks effectively.
