We are seeking an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Optimisation Specialist to join our team based in Middlewich. This role is responsible for allocating specific vehicles and drivers to each job, arranging for delivery of our product, and ensuring processes are adhered to while providing the most cost-effective solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Omitimise deliveries to achieve the highest journey payload in pursuit of optimum KPI efficiency.
  • Liaise with external hauliers as required.
  • Understand, interpret & ensure timely delivery of all orders received from the business.
  • Manage the customer delivery lead-time (ATP).
  • Develop positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that all have the ability to contribute to and challenge the delivery plan.
  • Be a primary link between the customer, operations, and logistics for all matters affecting the delivery plan.
  • Ensure the delivery plans reflect resource availability.
  • Provide support and information as part of budget compilation and monitoring.
Requirements
  • Maths & English – GCSE C or above/Equivalent Key Skills.
  • Previous experience in transport planning.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to organise your own workload, prioritise duties in line with changing business demands.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Logical thinker with a good attention to detail and a high level of commitment.
  • High level of written & verbal communication skills, both in one-to-one and in a group setting.
  • Strong problem-solving, analysis, numerical & IT skills.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
