Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accounting Professional to join our team at Specialist Recruit.
About the Role: As a Graduate Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for owning purchase ledger duties, owning sales ledger duties, reconciling multiple bank accounts on Xero, and performing revenue analysis. You will also be involved in payroll preparation, pension filing, and assisting with the preparation of month-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning purchase ledger duties, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Owning sales ledger duties, managing customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
- Reconciling multiple bank accounts on Xero, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Performing revenue analysis, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Preparing payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.
- Filing pensions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with the preparation of month-end reporting, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Preparing direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Preparing annual accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2:1 Degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Numerate, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail, with ability to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
- IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xero.
- Willingness to learn and become part of a team, with a self-motivated approach to work.
- Good multitasking and prioritizing skills, with ability to work well under pressure.
