About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Bestwood Village School, a specialist school in Nottingham for autistic young people aged 7 – 16. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary well-being and therapeutic services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Progress the OT specific therapeutic services to meet the needs of individuals with varying support needs, many with a diagnosis of autism and associated needs such as complex and developmental trauma.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform service delivery, development, and project work.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • Training in sensory integration.
  • Experience of working with adults and/or children who are autistic or who have an intellectual disability and/or additional needs.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting.
  • Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults.
  • Experience of lecturing/teaching/training.
