About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at our Linthwaite, Huddersfield site. As a key member of our Technical Operations team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the development and implementation of validation compliance for computerized systems, as well as providing engineering support for capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on automation system-related issues, including deviation investigations and trend analysis.
- Manage external contractors for engineering support, ensuring optimal operation and reliability of the plant.
- Support continuous automation improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Identify new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing process.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production equipment, troubleshooting automated processes or equipment when errors occur.
- Maintain GMP-relevant documentation, including engineering SOPs and design documents.
- Provide training for associates on automation systems.
- Manage external contractors for capital and expense projects.
- Coach automation topics within your area of responsibility.
- Develop and review procedures related to computerized systems, including test protocols and validation.
