This is an exciting chance for a skilled Bookkeeper to join a dynamic and expanding engineering company on a part-time basis. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from home a few times a week.

The company provides a competitive hourly rate of £25-£30, equivalent to £48k-£58k full-time or £25k-£30k pro-rated. The position involves 20 hours of work per week, with 4 flexible hours a day, Monday to Friday.

The company offers a range of benefits, including:

  • Full training on their systems
  • Free parking
  • A bonus scheme after 6 months
  • Private Medical care after 6 months
  • 25 days holiday (pro rata)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Banking every morning, updating sales ledgers, and releasing proforma orders
  • Chasing outstanding purchase invoices, especially those on company debit cards
  • Chasing outstanding money once a week
  • End of month procedures, including bank reconciliation, payroll journals, and EOM reports for the CEO
  • End of quarter procedures, including Mileage VAT re-claim journal, Accrual/Prepayments journal, and VAT Submission

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Part or full qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA
  • Similar day-to-day experience
  • A good sense of humour
