Job Title: English, Maths and Science Tutor


About the Role:


Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Tutor to work with disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners on a 1:1 basis. As an English, Maths and Science Tutor, you will create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils' education, boosting engagement and attainment levels.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to step away from the classroom and make a tangible difference in the lives of disengaged learners. You will work with Prospero Teaching to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK.


Contract Details:


Location: Within the community or pupils' home in Trowbridge


Position: English, Maths and Science Tutor


Type of work: Contract


Start date: ASAP


Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement


Contract type: Temporary


Full-time/part-time: Part time (15 hours per week, per student)


Minimum rate of pay: £25+ per hour


Hours: Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family


Requirements:


To be eligible for this role, you must:



  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
