The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our team. As the go-to person in the store on shift, you will be responsible for inspiring your colleagues to deliver the best customer experience and helping to overcome any issues that arise. This will involve working closely with multiple functions across the store, including sales, customer service, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and sales performance
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that customers receive the best possible service and advice
- Assist with the management of stock levels, including ordering and receiving stock
- Help to resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to the development and implementation of store policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment, preferably in a retail or DIY setting
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
- Basic knowledge of building supplies and home improvement products
