About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Strategy Director to join our team at West Northamptonshire Council. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful commercial and performance delivery of adult care and schools PFI contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding and experience of complex PFI commercial contracts, with a strong focus on ensuring best value for our customers and taxpayers. You will lead a team of finance support, contract administration, contract performance, and surveying staff to provide good governance and challenge to PFI contractors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic estates management advice and direction to the Council's schools directorate
  • Ensuring the successful commercial and performance delivery of adult care and schools PFI contracts
  • Leading a team of finance support, contract administration, contract performance, and surveying staff
  • Representing the Council at key national and local forums regarding the contracts
