Job Summary

We are recruiting an experienced Home Care Assistant to support our service users across Derby. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, providing person-centred care to our clients in their own homes. As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, including medication management, personal care, and emotional support.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality care to our clients, adhering to their individual care plans and promoting their independence and well-being
  2. Support clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
  3. Assist with medication management, ensuring that clients receive their prescribed medication on time
  4. Provide emotional support and companionship to our clients, helping them to maintain their dignity and quality of life
Requirements

To succeed as a Home Care Assistant, you will need:

  • A minimum of three months' paid experience in care, preferably in a home care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A full UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle (essential for this role)
  • Good professional and personal references, demonstrating your ability to work in a caring and compassionate manner
