Behaviour Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support the emotional, social, and educational development of students with behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Support the emotional, social, and educational development of students.
  • Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
  • Develop trusting relationships with students, encouraging self-confidence and responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and pastoral staff to track progress and adapt support plans.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with children (previous experience in a school setting is desirable).
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • A positive, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations.
