About the Role

The Nursing Associate is a vital member of the healthcare team, working closely with Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of the nursing process and the ability to work independently under supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the scope of the Nursing Associate role.
  • Ensure all patients receive high-quality care, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Utilize and enhance existing skills to provide expert clinical assessment, care planning, and care delivery.
  • Assist in the management and organization of work in the clinical area.
  • Act in accordance with the NMC Code, carrying out duties in line with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Provide evidence-based nursing care, including expert clinical assessment, care planning, care delivery, and care evaluation.
  • Ensure accurate, clear, and concise records of patient care, adhering to NMC standards.
  • Actively assess and manage risk within the clinical area.
  • Adhere to the Trust Medicines Policy and NMC Standards for medicines management.
  • Participate in the teaching and supervision of other members of staff under the direction of the Team Leader.
  • Support Clinical Governance systems to deliver high-quality care.
