Job Title: Education Support Professional

Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Support Professional to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education and provide personalized support to students to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in managing and preparing the learning environment.
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work with small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning material.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays.
  • Supervise students during break times, excursions, and other school activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as an Education Support Professional or in a similar educational role is desirable but not essential.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, and in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
