Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Analyst to join our Acquisitions Credit Risk team at NewDay Ltd. As a key member of the Credit Management department, you will be responsible for monitoring and forecasting credit performance, implementing changes, and collaborating with internal colleagues to support the business.

Your new role will involve developing and optimising credit risk strategies for our credit card portfolios, ensuring all processes and projects are delivered with the appropriate level of reviews and approvals.

You will also be the day-to-day owner of the control environment in which Customer Underwriting operates, identifying key insights and opportunities for optimisation.

About the Role
  • Developing and implementing credit risk strategies to drive business growth and minimise losses.
  • Monitoring and forecasting credit performance, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with internal colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in credit card strategies or highly analytical roles within the UK financial service industry.
  • Unsecured lending experience, preferably from work experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
  • Implementing and maintaining policies and controls.
  • Use of Credit Reference Agency (Credit Bureau) data.

Our salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a permanent full-time position with a hybrid working arrangement.
