Offshore Electrical Support Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Offshore Electrical Support Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract at NES Fircroft's Dimlington gas terminal.

As part of our onshore maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance on the terminal's electrical installation, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. The role comes with a shift rotation of 7 days on, 7 days off, 12-hour shifts.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance routines for electrical equipment using Maximo.
  • Conducting EX maintenance on EX electrical equipment.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary paperwork for equipment modifications.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop the next shift's schedule during weekly planning meetings.
  • Regular attendance at morning and evening team meetings.
  • Issuing certificates for non-standard tasks and those requiring isolation.
  • Executing switchovers and isolations for low and high-voltage electrical equipment.
  • Coordinating with the Terminal Electrical Engineer to address complex technical issues.
  • Leading and participating in terminal-wide maintenance activities.
  • Procuring necessary materials and equipment, including purchase requests in SAP.
  • Inspecting and testing temporary equipment introduced to the site.
  • Performing routine maintenance and testing on portable equipment, with regular calibration of electrical testing tools.
  • Training and mentoring new staff members in becoming authorized electrical personnel.
  • Identifying potential environmental hazards during task risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate them.

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
