Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-respected SEN school in Thatcham. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs and be able to provide valuable support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and address Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
  • Support children with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioral challenges, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties
  • Assist students in developing social skills and emotional regulation
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and remain calm under pressure

Requirements:

  • Psychology or Criminology graduates preferred
  • Level 3 qualifications or relevant experience with SEN children advantageous
  • Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students

Benefits:

  • Long-term temporary position with the potential for permanent placement
  • Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Competitive salary: £83 - £95 per day
