Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at the Mercure Bridgwater Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality food for all areas of the hotel, with a primary focus on the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Head Chef to develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead a team of chefs in the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and presented in a visually appealing way.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies, ensuring that all ingredients and equipment are available and in good condition.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to our policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front of house and events, to ensure seamless service and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a senior chef in a similar role, preferably in a 4-star hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
