About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Goods In team and leading by example.
  • Resolving any invoice queries in a timely manner to avoid delays in production.
  • Ensuring accurate inventory levels and collaborating with quality control to implement QA checks.
  • Liaising with production management to guarantee effective stores services.
  • Developing team members to meet business objectives through training and mentorship.
  • Implementing best practices for receiving and storing materials, ensuring FIFO compliance.
  • Identifying and addressing stock shortages to minimize disruption to the production line.
  • Maintaining high standards of data protection and confidentiality at all times.

You will also be required to:

  • Attend management meetings as needed.
  • Implement and maintain the 5S program.
  • Report any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Verify that all unallocated parts have a valid reason for storage.
  • Maintain stock accuracy above 98%.
  • Lead personnel during stocktakes.
  • Coordinate monthly and yearly stock takes.
  • E nsure compliance with company procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A basic education with literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in materials handling and control.
  • A current Fork Truck Licence.
  • Proficiency in using computerized stock control systems.
  • Knowledge of parts kitting.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Good attendance, disciplinary, and timekeeping record.
  • Able and willing to work overtime when required.

Possession of a GCSE or equivalent (Grade C or above) is desirable, along with experience in materials handling control in an engineering environment.
