At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled Examiner to join our team of subject matter experts for the BTEC Tech Awards. As an Examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to the conditions of recognition and examination procedures.

The Examiner will work on a range of subjects, including Animal Care, Art and Design, Child Development, Construction, Creative Digital Media, Digital Information Technology, Health and Social Care, Enterprise, Music Practice, Performing Arts, Sport, and Travel and Tourism.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of subject knowledge and the ability to work well under pressure. You will also need to be able to meet deadlines and submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality assessments. If you are a qualified teacher with a degree or equivalent and a minimum of one year's full-time teaching experience of the relevant subject, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
  • Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
  • Ensure all administration is completed as specified.
