Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Foster Care Specialist. This role involves the recruitment, assessment, and support of potential foster carers, with a focus on providing high-quality placements for children in care.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, assess, and support potential foster carers
- Work closely with the safeguarding and children in care teams to ensure the best interests of children
- Conduct initial assessment visits, supervision, and support visits
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in social work or a related field
- Experience working with children in care, family and friend's placements, and fostering assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a range of benefits, including:
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Pension scheme
- Annual leave entitlement
Working Arrangements
This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
