Lead QA Automation Engineer (C#, TypeScript, API) - Bristol - New Role

£60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits + Bonus + Hybrid Working

A leading organisation in the Bristol area requires a Lead QA Automation Engineer to drive the quality and reliability of software products. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing, optimising, and maintaining the current automation framework, as well as leading and expanding test automation throughout the organisation.

Working closely with the Test Manager, you will own the strategic improvement of automation throughout Delivery and be responsible for coaching the existing QA team in automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a robust automation framework using C#, TypeScript, and API.
  • Lead and expand test automation efforts across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with the Test Manager to drive strategic improvement of automation.
  • Coach and mentor the QA team in automation best practices.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Test Automation in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and coaching automation.
  • Substantial understanding of unit, integration, and cross-browser testing approaches.
  • Experience in developing automation frameworks and technical non-functional testing.
  • Experience of using cross-browser testing services like Browserstack Automate or Sauce Labs.
  • A thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.
