About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join our team in Norwich. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for leading client projects and providing expert planning advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary contact for clients, delivering tailored planning solutions and guiding projects from inception to completion.
  • Team Development: Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts through participation in bids and project proposals.
  • Project Management: Manage project segments, ensuring timely delivery, budget goals, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Application Submissions: Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and pre-application inquiries while conducting thorough site appraisals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with community members, committees, contractors, and stakeholders to secure positive project outcomes.
  • Innovative Solutions: Develop creative and efficient approaches to meet client needs, enhancing services and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: RTPI-accredited degree or master's in Planning or a related field is required.
  • Professional Membership: Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards it is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in a relevant planning role within the public or private sector is essential.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This salary estimate is based on industry standards for a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner in Norwich.
