About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative team at Tribal Tech - The Digital, Data & AI Specialists. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering: Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
  • Data Warehousing: Design and implement data warehousing solutions using platforms like Snowflake or Azure Synapse Analytics to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models for efficient querying and analysis to drive business insights and product development.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support machine learning initiatives and ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Governance: Implement data quality checks and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Visualization: Contribute to the development of data visualization solutions using tools like Power BI or Tableau to support business stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles with a strong track record of delivering high-quality data solutions.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and implementation, experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles, and knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialized Skills: Experience with Databricks or similar data processing platforms, familiarity with streaming data architectures, and knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
