Job Title: Director of Health and Wellbeing

Excell Supply Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Health and Wellbeing to lead the strategic approach to promoting learner and staff health and wellbeing within our school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a whole-school health and wellbeing strategy, promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  • Support staff wellbeing through the creation of a positive work environment, ensuring staff feel valued, supported, and able to manage their workloads effectively.
  • Ensure all health and wellbeing initiatives are compliant with safeguarding regulations and maintain accurate records related to learner health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver or oversee the delivery of small group or 1:1 interventions aimed at promoting mental health, resilience, and wellbeing for learners with identified needs.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and training: Degree in a relevant field (e.g. public health, psychology, education, or related discipline) and professional qualifications related to mental health, safeguarding, or health and wellbeing support.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within a school or health-related setting, with a focus on wellbeing, and experience in developing and implementing health and wellbeing strategies.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national health agenda for schools and wellbeing, excellent communication and organisational skills, and ability to create personalised wellbeing curricula and supervise colleagues in delivering targeted support.
