Postal Courier

Royal Mail and Pertemps Scotland are seeking experienced individuals to fill the position of Postal Delivery Worker. This role involves delivering post and parcels to customers across Scotland, working in a team environment to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

• Sort and Collect Post/Parcels - Start the day by sorting and collecting post and parcels at the local delivery office.
• Use Hand-Held Device - Utilize a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries and navigate the route.
• Physically Demanding Role - Walk at least 8 miles per day, carrying a post bag and delivering letters and parcels, requiring a high level of physical fitness.
• Driving and On Foot Delivery - Conduct driving and on foot deliveries, pushing/pulling a post trolley to ensure efficient delivery.

• Valid UK Driving License - Possess a valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points, with a clean license preferred.
• Previous Delivery or Driving Experience - Previous experience in delivery or driving is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent Time Management and Organisational Skills - Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Strong Communication and Customer Service Abilities - Possess strong communication and customer service abilities to provide excellent service to customers.
• Commitment to Safe and Responsible Driving Practices - Commit to safe and responsible driving practices, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
• Working Outdoors in All Weathers - Work outdoors in all weathers, requiring the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
• Able to Work 5 Days Out of 7 - Be able to work 5 days out of 7, including potential days at the weekend.
