CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at a family-run leading manufacturer. The successful candidate will work in our toolroom department operating CNC-controlled lathes and mills to generate components required for tooling or directly by our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC-controlled lathes and mills to generate components
  • Use 3D models to generate machining code within Inventor CAM software
  • Aid in the design of fixturing or jigs to allow the machining of components
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience operating or programming CNC machines
  • Experience with controllers
  • Design and manufacture of machine fixturing
  • Produce small, complex batches of components to high-quality standards
  • Experience working from engineering drawings
  • Ability to work within a team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Experience with sliding head lathes would be advantageous
