Job Description

We are seeking a Poker Host to join our team at Grosvenor Casino, Newcastle. As a Poker Host, you will be responsible for dealing successful and entertaining poker games. Your role will involve welcoming customers warmly, living our values, working collaboratively with colleagues, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers into the business, maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere.

3. Collaborate with colleagues to provide efficient and dynamic service, exceeding customer expectations.
4. Evaluate individual needs and act accordingly to deliver an excellent quality experience.
5. Communicate effectively with colleagues and the card room supervisor, ensuring seamless operations.
6. Create a community-oriented environment that fosters fun and entertainment.
7. Maintain impeccable technical standards in dealing, chips handling, bet calculation, and enforcing game rules.
8. Interact with customers in a way that aligns with their experience level and ability in the game.
9. Promote security of the game, cash, and assets, adhering to all regulations, particularly licensing conditions and safer gambling practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Experience working successfully in a hospitality role.
• Previous experience as a poker dealer is preferred but not necessary.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating a memorable experience.
• Ability to collaborate with the wider business, embracing change and new ways of working.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
• Comfortable working shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a zero-hour contract.

Estimated Salary Range: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
