Rheumatology Remote Patient Monitoring Assistant Administrator

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals to contribute to a positive work environment in the Transformation Unit. The successful candidate will oversee administrative aspects of Rheumatology patients' remote blood monitoring pathway, collaborating with CNSs and Consultants to ensure smooth patient management.

The post holder will maintain high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being accessible, customer-focused, and knowledgeable. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing consistent support across the Trust, ensuring tasks are completed correctly within given timescales, as per SOPs.
  2. Offering polite, clear, and accurate advice line support for patients and documenting all communication on EPR and DAWN.
  3. Working autonomously and seeking help from clinicians when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C
  • Accurate data entry, typing, and analytical skills
  • Experience working with patients and providing information regarding appointments or treatment plans
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel or patient monitoring IT applications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience
  • Experience working in the NHS healthcare administrative system and process

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly when liaising with multidisciplinary team members and patients
  • Able to demonstrate motivation to learn, develop, and progress
  • Excellent timekeeping and management
  • Understanding of patient priorities and performance targets related to appointments and waiting times
  • Ability to liaise with Primary Care, GP, and community services

Salary: £25,623 - £31,383 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
