Career Opportunity in Specialist Haemato-oncology and Palliative Care

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our multidisciplinary team as Senior Cancer and Palliative Care Therapists. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver high-quality haemato-oncology and palliative care specialist therapy services to patients under our care.

Main Responsibilities

The post holders will work closely with a band 7 specialist occupational therapist, who will lead the project, within a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Dietetic, and administrative support.

  • To provide specialist and autonomous evidence-based HOP interventions, managing a complex caseload of outpatient and community patients to ensure optimal clinical outcomes:

Our focus will be on patients diagnosed with cancer of unknown primary (CUP), lung, upper GI, primary brain cancers, and those with haematological malignancy. Additionally, we will provide high-standard specialist therapy assessment and intervention for patients with complex needs in the community, outpatients, and specialist advice to therapy colleagues in hospital settings.

  • Facilitate optimal level of function and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
  • Facilitate preferred place of care.
  • Help to maximise quality of life and address individual needs.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,890 - £44,688 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including staff recognition and employee wellbeing initiatives.
