Job Overview

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join its Shared Services Group legal team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, amendments to standard terms and conditions of purchase, and bespoke agreements.
  • Advise on and manage various legal issues, including civil litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Evaluate and weigh multiple inputs/impacts of decisions/courses of action and identify proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Assist with the continued development of the compliance program and advise on ad hoc compliance-related queries.
  • Perform other tasks and projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Solicitor or Barrister.
  • Newly qualified – 2 years post-qualification experience (given as a guide only).
  • High-calibre experience with a top law firm or experience working in a fast-paced, in-house legal environment.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and procurement contracts, with exposure to intellectual property, antitrust, anti-bribery, and other regulatory issues, including food labelling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and relate to clients at all levels of the business.
  • Confidence to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to legal challenges.
  • Willingness to expand on legal knowledge and experience.
  • Flexibility to travel as required to meet the demands of the job across the UK and ROI.
  • Full driving licence.
