The Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a challenging leadership position. As a Night Foreperson, you will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers to maintain high standards of vehicle quality and compliance with statutory regulations. You will also play a key role in ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed, including nightly team briefings, workshop management, and health and safety protocols.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To oversee the daily activities of the night shift team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • To manage vehicle scheduling and allocation, ensuring that resources are used optimally.
  • To conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with central engineering standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • To identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A suitable engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and relevant experience in a transport-related industry.
  • Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • A valid UK driver's license and PCV license (desirable).
  • The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
