Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage students in the absence of the regular class teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring that students stay on task.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues encountered during lessons.
- Adapt to various school settings and quickly build rapport with students and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role within secondary education.
- Strong classroom management skills and confidence in handling various age groups and subjects.
- An adaptable and flexible approach to meet the needs of different schools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A valid DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
