Main Responsibilities:
- Certifying products in line with product certification procedures
- Ensuring accurate assembly
- Examining finished parts for defects and deterioration
- Inspecting for physical damage
- Performing intermediate inspection checks for non-certified products
- Monitoring product certification operators
- Completing manufacturing data pack paperwork
- Controlling defective items from good stock
- Maintaining defect reports and data records
- Producing inspection and quality control documentation
- Maintaining specialized inspection tools
- Ensuring compliance with manufacturing procedures
- Meeting inspection deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and product quality
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Maintaining a clean workspace
- Contributing to process improvements
Requirements:
- A formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC level
- Substantial mechanical inspection experience, particularly of others' work
- Several years of experience as a skilled person
- Preferred IPC 610 certification or training
