Construction Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our Southwest field service team at Plantforce Limited.
Based primarily in Exeter, with occasional work from our Liskeard depot, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of construction and earthmoving equipment.
Main Responsibilities- The routine servicing of construction equipment in line with manufacturers schedule and specification is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and preventing costly downtime.
- Regular lubricant and fluid monitoring and replenishment ensure the longevity of our fleet, which includes various types of plant and construction equipment.
- Preventative maintenance tasks involve identifying potential issues before they become major problems, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing unexpected breakdowns.
- Fault reporting is essential for prompt diagnosis and resolution, reducing equipment downtime and associated costs.
- Cleaning, inspecting, and preparing plant for transfer or redeployment is vital for maintaining its value and operability.
- Fitting replacement parts requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems and hydraulic components.
- Collaboration with other team members on larger maintenance or repair tasks promotes knowledge sharing and efficient problem-solving.
- A full driving license is mandatory for this role, enabling you to travel between sites and maintain equipment efficiently.
- Good mechanical knowledge, experience with plant and construction equipment, and hydraulic systems are essential for success in this position.
- Experience in conducting routine maintenance to a required level and standard is critical for upholding quality standards.
- An understanding of risk assessments and method statements ensures safe working practices and adherence to industry regulations.
