Due to an increase in workload and continued company growth, our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking a Certification Specialist to join their technical team on a permanent basis.

As a Certification Specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for verifying incoming material certification to national and international standards, ensuring all required documentation is in place for timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science, with a demonstrable background in a similar role and working knowledge of quality and materials documentation.

Knowledge of Oil and Gas or Nuclear quality standards is advantageous.

This is a day-based position available for an immediate start.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Amending or creating orders within the bill of materials and producing relevant documents as required by procedure
  • Checking incoming material certification in accordance with national and international standards and specifications
  • Ensuring base material certificates are compliant with manufacturing processes
  • Producing bespoke material certification following internal manufacturing processes
  • Checking laboratory test reports in accordance with purchase order requirements
  • Producing in-house NDT reports and ensuring compliance with purchase orders
  • Liaising with 3rd party inspectors in relation to material certification releases
  • Liaising with clients in relation to material certification queries
  • Liaising with 3rd party test laboratories in relation to material sample releases and order expediting
  • Interfacing with commercial, technical, manufacturing, and expediting departments

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience working with quality and materials documentation in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of quality standards used in the Oil and Gas or Nuclear sector (advantageous)
