About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Solutions Specialist to join our team at Excelerate. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that enhance our customers' operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Deliver technical server and cloud projects according to specifications and best practice.
  • Infrastructure Management: Work with virtualisation and cloud technologies including VMware, Hyper V and Azure environments.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain project documentation and knowledgebase.
  • Support and Collaboration: Provide support to resolve Change Management issues and collaborate with Account Managers to produce new business proposals.
  • Project Handover and Knowledge Sharing: Ensure all time spent on projects is recorded accurately and within our corporate service delivery system, and ensure project handovers are documented and completed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Evidenced experience of working within an IT support environment or for a Managed Service Provider
  • At least 1 formal IT qualification
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server environments and cloud technologies
  • Good working knowledge of Firewalls, Antivirus and Malware configuration
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS 365 Administration
Desirable Skills

The following skills are desirable:

  • Experience working on IT Server & Cloud projects involving planning, installation, and documentation
  • Experience of active switching and routing, firewalls LAN WAN and WiFi technology
  • ITIL Foundation qualification
  • Previous experience of setting up authentication and security methods
  • Knowledge of structured and fibre cabling
  • Experience of Switching Configuration
  • Experience of Wireless Configuration
