About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic DT teacher to join our client school, a specialist provision for students with emotional and behavioural difficulties. As a member of our client's community, you will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lecture and Teaching:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students with SEMH, adapting your approach to meet their diverse needs
  • Evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work effectively with support staff to develop and implement targeted interventions for students
  • Support the development of behaviour plans, ensuring consistency and monitoring progress towards set goals
  • Establish and maintain open communication with parents and carers, fostering a collaborative approach to student support

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold QTS and have a proven track record of teaching secondary DT
  • Bring previous experience working within SEMH settings, showcasing your ability to adapt to challenging situations
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Supply a CV detailing your employment history over the past decade, where possible
