Job Title: Anaesthetic Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our team within the theatre department at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist anaesthetists during the use of local, regional, sedation, and general anaesthetic.
  • Provide care to patients within a wide range of surgical specialties, including gynaecology, orthopaedics, and trauma.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and work shifts, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Undertake shift work, including night shifts, weekends, and participation in the on-call rota.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.
  • Experience in theatre or anaesthetic department.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
