The Breedon Group plc is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Craftsperson to join its team at the Cement Hope works.
As an Electrical Maintenance Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical network is safely maintained and developed to support the operation of the site. This is a key function within the maintenance team, requiring a multi-skilled approach to electrical engineering maintenance.
This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including a bonus scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), increasing with service, and a contributory pension scheme.
In terms of required skills and qualifications, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in electrical engineering, preferably with Time served/apprentice training, advanced modern apprenticeship level 3, in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 & 2 or 2230 Level 3 NVQ 2356 / 2357 or City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation or AM1 and AM2 would be highly desirable.
We are also looking for individuals with relevant experience working in a heavy industrial environment, with a good understanding of electrical maintenance methods and techniques. Furthermore, it would be beneficial to have a sound understanding of medium voltage networks, including switching methods and maintenance operations.
Promoting a culture of safety is essential in this role, so we expect applicants to have a proven track record of actively taking responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others, as well as participating and engaging in toolbox talks.
