Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in a fixed-term or secondment capacity. The successful candidate will work within our Children's Speech and Language Therapy service, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication difficulties, including those with formal Additional Support for Learning plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Conduct assessments and provide interventions to address speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, nurseries, and community settings to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those with additional support needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
