About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agronomy and Sustainability Leader to join our team at Bartholomews. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for elevating crop production while aligning with our ambitious goal of achieving net-zero food production.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in crop management, yield optimisation, and sustainable practices. You will craft and implement comprehensive management strategies that optimise crop performance, provide expert guidance to Crop technicians, and foster and develop your own team of agronomists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop holistic management strategies that optimise crop performance and reduce carbon emissions
  • Provide technical guidance to Crop technicians, ensuring effective collaboration with customers
  • Foster and develop your own team of agronomists, including Crop technicians and fellow Agronomists
  • Develop cutting-edge farmgate advice to reduce carbon emissions within the agricultural food system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in crop management, yield optimisation, and sustainable practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Possession of FACTS and BASIS certifications
  • Passion for environmental stewardship and innovation

Our estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
